Cricket field tactics board

Stack the slip cordon, hold the ring field, push catchers into the deep field and set the yorker field. The pitch is 22 yards inside the 30-yard circle.

22-yard pitch and 30-yard circle. The boundary ellipse is a coaching measure. Organize field placements, bowling strategies and match situations on a cricket field.

Inside the 30-yard circle

The board shows the 22-yard pitch and the 30-yard circle. The boundary ellipse is a coaching measure. Drawing is free without an account. A free account saves the field.

Slip cordon

The slip cordon places catchers beside the wicketkeeper for the new ball. It is a published field, not a bowling plan.

Ring field

The ring field keeps fielders inside the 30-yard circle to cut the single. The diagram is that ring, ready to edit.

Deep field and yorker field

The deep field drops catchers back toward the boundary. The yorker field protects straight and packs the off side for the yorker.

Ready diagrams

  • Slip cordon

The wicketkeeper, two slips and a gully stand behind the batter with the bowler at the crease. Use it for attacking new-ball bowling when edges are likely.

  • Ring field

The wicketkeeper and four fielders sit inside the 30-yard circle around the batter. Use it to save singles and build pressure.

  • Deep field

Fielders are pushed back to the boundary straight and square while the wicketkeeper stays up. Use it late in an innings to stop boundaries.

  • Yorker field

The bowler aims at the batter's feet with mid-wicket and cover set to cut off the drive. Use it in the final overs of a limited-overs game.
