3-3 Six field players set up in two lines of three in front of goal, with two defenders and the goalkeeper. Use it as the base positions for an even-strength attack.

Extra man Six attackers face two defenders after an exclusion and the pass goes from the flat into the centre. Use it to move the ball quickly before the excluded player returns.

Press Three defenders press the attacker with the ball across the full pool, with one swimming to cut off the pass. Use it to force a turnover early in the possession.

6 on 5 Five defenders drop into an arc in front of their goal against three attackers. Use it while a player is excluded to protect the centre and block shots.
