4-3-3 Four defenders, a midfield three and three forwards. 4-4-2 A flat midfield four with two strikers. 4-2-3-1 Two holders, three creators and one striker. 3-5-2 Three center-backs and a wide midfield five. High press The forwards step onto the buildup and midfield covers behind them. Overlap The full-back runs outside the winger into the box. Short corner The corner is played short, then crossed into the box. Counterattack The recovered ball is played quickly to three runners.
